Now everyone knows that Ampex is just across the south Bay from Fremont and Ampex was the world’s leader in reel to reel magnetic tape recorders. There was no way I could go wrong this time. I mean, I saw some that were selling in the hundreds of dollars during the late 60’s, early 70’s.
I put my $233.33 bid in the mail and crossed my fingers I’d get lucky again just knowing no-one was going pass up this goldmine.
